Open Studio for Members
If you have experience with pottery and wish to continue refining your skills at your own pace, we are the only pottery studio on Lantau Island, offer open studio times on the weekend and week days, suitable for potters, ceramicists and sculptors working with clay.
Members are patrons who have attended at least eight lessons and can work independently or people who demonstrate they have prior knowledge of the ceramics process and have paid the membership fee. All studio members are required to be fully responsible for the making, bisquing, and glazing of their work: taking their pieces through the whole process of green-wear to glaze-wear without assistance or teacher guidance.
Please note these sessions are not led by a teacher and are completely self-directed.
Members will refer to the week-by-week posted schedule, as well as closures for statutory holidays, long weekends, and unique programs booked by the studio. Members will abide by Studio Etiquette and Guidelines / Terms and Conditions.
Members are required to clean up before departing the facility. Allowing at least 30 min for a thorough clean-up is recommended and should be included in your scheduled appointment.
Ages 16+
$1000/month: A monthly fee covers unlimited access to open studio hours, and must be purchased in advance. Any unused fee will expire at the end of each month and cannot be rolled forward.
One-time membership administration fee of $300 for new members applies.
Materials fees are calculated separately from studio time:
By weight for bisque fire: $5/100g, must be prepaid for firing.
By volume for glaze cone 6 firing: 50¢/cubic inch, a minimum of $10 for small items.
