Children's Project Based Pottery Lessons:
Suitable for Ages 6 -17
Introduce children to the wonders of the ceramic process: turning soft sticky mud into something solid, tangible and useful. Pottery engages children's senses in open-ended play and supports the development of cognitive, multisensory skills, through sculpting, construction, and painting.
Classes run on a project based term: 6-8 weeks depending on the complexity of the projects.
Projects range in technique from hand-building to wheel throwing, from functional ceramic wares, such as cups, bowls and plates, to sculptural artistic pieces motivating children to express their own ideas.
